After listening to this segment on This American Life, I’ve been trying to figure out who the true freaks* are in my social network. I’ve spent maybe an hour this week researching ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response), and thus far, no one can explain what it is you feel like. I get that you seek out things that make you feel tingly, but doesn’t…everyone do this? Or is this response to the whispery ladies special? Readers, please advise. I am genuinely curious. Surely one of you must know!

Milk Carton Kids

Feeling a little melancholy today, and the Milk Carton Kids Tiny Desk Concert from NPR is just what the doctor ordered. These guys are a little nerdy-looking, but they’re subtle, sweet, and wistful- just perfect for waving goodbye to winter.
